CoastGIS 2011, the international Conference and Exhibiton, is held from 6 till 8 September 2011 in Ostend, Belgium. The place where technology inspires coastal zone decision-making.

The coast is where land meets sea, and where many varied disciplines and challenges also meet. Climate change, environmental planning and monitoring, coastal-zone management, urban development, pollution, natural-risk management, flooding, economic impact of marine industries - they all involve the coast.

The CoastGIS International conference and exhibition extends beyond just technology and applications to encompass a wider range of subjects including, for example, data access and sharing policies, information infrastructures, planning and socio-economic issues.

CoastGIS focuses on how information and communications technologies (ICT) aid marine and coastal-zone researchers, managers, government planners and decision-makers and the public in better understanding and sustainably managing their fragile coastal resources.

Geomares Events organises the exhibition where companies and organisations showcase their products and services to international professionals. Book your stand, contact us for more information: coastgis@geomares.nl
